I’m a consistent student and Studio Crew member which is why this summer, I signed up for The Works Mat Sculpt Teacher Training. Maddy has been my role model since I first started coming to The Works, so getting to learn from her throughout this process was so special. I was able to hear her advice, ask questions, and learn how to build an effective, intentional sequence. Having the studio at my fingertips while going through training gave me the opportunity to really get in the room, learn from different instructors, and find my own voice as a teacher. Wherever life takes me, I knew I wanted to be trained by the place that built me.

Mat training gave me so much more than the tools to teach a class, it gave me a confidence that has trickled into every area of my life. The Works gives you such a strong foundation while encouraging you to trust yourself, find your own voice, and lean into what makes you you, because that’s your power. There’s so much growth in the process, both as an instructor and as a person.

Mat Training at The Works deepened my understanding of movement, anatomy, cueing, and how to truly connect with the people I teach. I’ve loved learning alongside such strong, supportive team who encourage each other and genuinely want to see everyone succeed.

Completing my Mat Training through The Works was just as amazing as YTT! Learning more about Mat and how to teach from Maddy, Amanda and KP was truly amazing. There are no words. They are so invested in you not only during the experience and but after :) Bonus perk — I made friends for life! If you love the Mat and want to learn more about the practice you don’t even have to want to teach. Do yourself a favor and sign up!! Best 100 hours ever!
